IIUM Alumni Association Dinner was held on 20th August 2012 at Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur. The event invited Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the special guest for the event. In the same event, some alumni were also awarded as Tokoh Alumni UIAM for their excellence in various field including Economics, Education and Politics. This year, sponsorships for ten postgraduates’ students who will pursue their post doctorate level in IIUM were also given during the ceremony. This sponsorship tradition has been implemented for two consecutive years and with Allah’s will, will be be continuously carried out in the future. This dinner was also held to celebrate Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s 87th birthday.
